What renovation and construction debris removal costs
Renovation debris splits into two price structures. Light, bulky material like drywall, cabinets and flooring is priced by how much of the truck it fills. Dirt, concrete, brick and asphalt are priced by the cubic yard, because weight rather than space is what limits the load.
| Drywall and trim from one room | $175 to $325Typical for a single room gutted to the studs, an eighth to three eighths of a load. |
|---|---|
| Kitchen debris after a tear-out | $325 to $550Cabinets, counters, tile and subfloor usually run three eighths to three quarters of a load. |
| Concrete pad or steps, one material | $350 to $650One to five cubic yards of a single material such as concrete or brick. |
| Mixed heavy material | Plus $50 or $75A mix of dirt, concrete and brick adds $50 to the yard price. Any mix containing asphalt adds $75. |
Junk removal by the load

| 3/4 load | $550 |
| 5/8 load | $475 |
| 1/2 load | $400 |
| 3/8 load | $325 |

| 1/8 load | $175 |
| Small minimum load | $125 |
| Single item or small pickup within 10 km | From $80 |
- The single-item price depends on the item and the location.

How the job runs
- 1
Describe the material
Tell us what came out and roughly how much, or send photos of the pile. Heavy material and light debris are priced differently.
- 2
Book around your trades
We fit the visit to the renovation schedule, so the debris leaves before it slows down the next trade on site.
- 3
We load it
The crew carries debris out from inside the house, protects the route, and sweeps the area so the next trade starts clean.
- 4
Separated where possible
Metal is pulled out for recycling and the rest goes to a licensed transfer station. Nothing is left on the boulevard.

What customers say
Renovation and Construction Debris Removal in Toronto homes
Renovation debris causes trouble in Toronto because there is rarely anywhere to put it. Semis and row houses in Leslieville, Roncesvalles and Corso Italia have short driveways or none at all, and a pile that spreads onto the boulevard tends to draw bylaw complaints and unhappy neighbours. A crew haul clears it in one visit and leaves nothing outside.
The right method depends on the material. Light, bulky debris from a kitchen or bathroom gut is quickest to remove with a crew, priced by how much of the truck it fills. Heavy material is different. A cubic yard of broken concrete or soil weighs far more than a yard of drywall, so dirt, concrete, brick and asphalt are priced by the cubic yard, and loads of one material cost less than mixed ones.
For jobs that produce debris every day over several weeks, a roll-off bin on the driveway often makes more sense than repeated crew visits. We offer both, and we will tell you which suits the job. One limit applies to both: materials suspected of containing asbestos, common in older houses, need testing and a specialist before anyone loads them.
Frequently asked questions
By the cubic yard. One yard is $350, two is $425, three is $500, four is $575 and five is $650, before HST. Those prices apply to one material only. A mix of dirt, concrete and brick adds $50, and any mixed load containing asphalt adds $75.
Yes. We work for homeowners doing their own renovation and for trades who need a site cleared between stages. Tell us the schedule, and the visit is fitted between trades so the debris is gone before the next crew starts work.
Plaster, lath and standard insulation, yes. Anything suspected of containing asbestos, such as vermiculite insulation, old pipe wrap or some older floor tile, cannot go on the truck. It needs testing and a specialist contractor first. If you are unsure, have it tested before the walls come down.
If debris comes out over several weeks, a roll-off bin on the driveway lets your trades load as they go. If the tear-out is done and the pile just needs to go, a crew clears it in one visit and you lift nothing. Heavy fill usually suits a bin.
No, though bagging dust and small pieces keeps the house cleaner on the way out. Loose sheets and off-cuts are fine. The crew carries everything from inside, protects the floors and doorways along the route, and sweeps the area when the load is out.
No. Paint, solvents, adhesives with solvent bases, fuel and propane tanks are hazardous waste and cannot go on the truck. Set them aside and take them to a municipal household hazardous waste depot. We will point you to the nearest one so the rest of the debris can still go.
