Furniture Removal in Toronto, From Any Floor
Junk Alert removes sofas, mattresses, dressers, tables and office furniture across Toronto and the GTA. Two crew members carry it out from wherever it sits, so nothing has to reach the curb first. A single piece within 10 km starts at $80, and larger loads are priced by how much of the truck they fill.
Open from 7 am, Monday to Saturday.
- Mon to Sat, 7am to 5pm. Sundays: emergencies only.
- Based on Weston Road in York
Furniture Removal covers all of this
Sofas and sectionals
Loveseats, pull-out beds and L-shaped sectionals, including the ones that only came in before the stairs were redone.
Mattresses and box springs
Any size, stained or not. Box springs that will not turn a narrow landing are cut down on site.
Bed frames and headboards
Metal frames, platform beds, bunk beds and storage beds, dismantled where they will not go out whole.
Dressers and wardrobes
Solid wood dressers, armoires and the particleboard wardrobes that come apart halfway down a staircase.
Dining tables and chairs
Tables, chairs, hutches and china cabinets. Leaves and glass shelves are packed so nothing shatters on the way out.
Recliners and armchairs
Including power recliners and lift chairs, which are heavier than they look and awkward on stairs.
Office furniture
Desks, filing cabinets, boardroom tables and task chairs from home offices and small commercial suites.
Outdoor furniture
Patio sets, loungers and weathered deck furniture from backyards, balconies and rooftop terraces.

What furniture removal costs
Furniture is priced on the same scale as any other junk load: by the share of the truck it fills, not by the piece or the hour. One item within 10 km starts at $80, depending on the item and the location. Mattresses and box springs carry their own disposal levy, which is built into the price you hear before loading.
| One sofa or one mattress within 10 km | From $80Typical for a single piece on the main floor. The item, the stairs and the distance set the final figure. |

| Living room with a sectional | $250 to $400A sectional, coffee table, armchair and media unit usually run a quarter to half a load. |
| Small office clearout | $400 to $700Several desks, chairs and filing cabinets usually run half a load to a full one. |

How the job runs
- 1
Send a photo of each piece
A picture and a note on which floor it is on lets us size the job and price it before anyone is dispatched.
- 2
Choose your arrival window
You get a two-hour window and a call when the truck is close. Saturday mornings are a normal booking.
- 3
We carry it out
Doorways and banisters are protected on the way through. Anything that will not turn a landing is taken apart on site.
- 4
Usable pieces are pulled aside
Furniture in decent shape is separated for donation and metal frames for recycling before the rest goes to the transfer station.

What customers say
Furniture Removal in Toronto homes
Most furniture jobs in Toronto are decided by the stairs, not the sofa. Victorian semis in the Junction and Little Portugal have stair runs that narrow at the turn, and a sectional or box spring that went in before a renovation often cannot come out the same way. Walk-up flats above shops on St. Clair and Dundas add a front staircase steep enough that the piece has to be carried, not slid.
That is why every job starts with access rather than volume. The crew looks at the route first, decides whether a piece leaves whole or in sections, and protects the walls and floors along the way. Taking apart a bed frame or cutting down a box spring to clear a landing is part of the job, not an extra charge.
Condos bring a different constraint. The building sets the schedule, so the service elevator and loading dock need to be booked before we are. Give us the window the property manager offers and the crew plans around it. Across the GTA, from Etobicoke bungalows to Markham townhouses, a single piece usually takes 20 to 40 minutes from knock to load.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. If a sofa or sectional will not turn the landing, the crew takes it apart on site, removing legs and arms or separating sections. If it still will not pass, it is cut down. That work is part of the job and is not added to the price afterwards.
Yes, in any condition. Mattresses and box springs carry their own disposal levy, so they cost a little more to dispose of than a dresser of the same size. That cost is included in the price you hear before anything is loaded, so there is nothing to settle later.
One piece is fine. A single item or small pickup within 10 km starts at $80, depending on the item and where it is. If you have a few more pieces, the job moves to the load scale, which starts at $125 for the smallest minimum load.
Furniture that is in usable shape is separated from the rest of the load for donation, and metal frames go for recycling. Upholstered pieces with stains, tears or pet damage generally cannot be reused, so those go to the transfer station with the rest of the load.
It helps. Empty drawers make dressers and filing cabinets lighter and safer on the stairs, and it means nothing you wanted gets hauled away by accident. If you are clearing an estate and have not sorted yet, tell us and we will plan the visit around that.
Yes. Book the service elevator and loading dock with your property manager first, then give us that window and the crew fits around it. Let us know what the building asks for from contractors so the date is not lost to paperwork on the day.
